The Ruins in the Swamp

The final version of Soul Reaver 2 confines all of the action keeps all of the activity in the Swamp area at or near ground level. This was not always intended to be the case. Concept art in the bonus material included with the Playstation 2 version of the game depicts a village high in the trees, and the remains of a playable area are still present in the retail game.

It is believed that the village would have been populated with Vampires. Judging from the condition of the ruins, it is likely that Raziel would have visited the populated version in an earlier time period - perhaps the same one which would have contained the Spirit Forge (see Deleted_Reaver_Forges).

The Ruins can be explored using the Playstation 2 flight cheat device code (see Codes_(Playstation_2_Cheat_Device)) or a hacked savegame for the PC version of the game which is available below.
