The Ariel Reaver

This deleted Reaver upgrade would have been obtained when Raziel consumed Ariel's soul in order to gain the power to kill Kain (see The_Death_of_Ariel and The_Final_Battle_with_Kain), and like The_Amplified_Reaver would have permanently modified his weapon. It is depicted in the Chronoplast FMV of Ariel's death as a brilliant yellow blade with a white core. It does not appear to have a proper name, only a description of its nature. It is uncertain if it would have had any additional powers besides giving Raziel the ability to destroy Kain.

It is possible to enable the Ariel Reaver using cheat codes (see Codes_(Multiplatform)) or The_Debug_Menu, although it is simply a prop made for the FMV and has no special powers.

The Spirit Reaver which Raziel obtains and the Soul Reaver which Kain receives near the end of Defiance are modified hybrids of the concepts for the Ariel Reaver and The_Amplified_Reaver. Defiance's Spirit Reaver should not be confused with the Spirit Reaver which was deleted from Soul Reaver (see The_Elemental_Reavers).
